Achievements of our Faculty members

    It is a matter of pride for us that, in this session, two books “Business Mathematics and Statistics” and “Business Statistics” published by Kalyani Publishers were co-authored by Mrs. Seema Dua (Dept. of Economics). Dr. Kuldeep Kaur (Dept. of Business Management and Commerce) also co-authored a book entitled “Industrial Relations and Labour Laws” which was published by Kalyani Publishers in January this year. Dr. Anupam Vatsyayan (Dept. of English) wrote a book “Re-visiting and Re-staging” which was published by Cambridge Scholars Publishers in November, 2016.

  • Research Paper of Dr. Neetu Prakash (Dept. of Business Management and Commerce) entitled “Environmental Accounting in India – A Survey of Selected Indian Industries” was published in a Asian Journal of Research in Social Sciences and Humanities, Vol. 6, No. 7, July, 2016.
  • Research Paper of Mrs Amarpreet Kaur (Dept. of Home Science) entitled “Study of Tie and Dye Effect using Fevicryl Fabric Colors and Dyer’s Dye” was published in an International Journal of Applied Home Science, Vol. III, Issue 7-8, July-August, 2016.
  • Research Paper of Mrs Manmeet Kaur and Mrs Lovepreet Dua (Dept. of Business Management and Commerce) entitled “A Study on Rural Marketing: Present Scenario, Opportunities and Challenges Ahead” was published in an International Journal of Management and Social Science, Vol. 4, Issue 11, in November, 2016.
  • Research Paper of Mrs Amarpreet Kaur (Dept. of Home Science) entitled “Innovative Study of Tie and Dye with Magic Fevicryl Fabric Colors” was published in Journal of National Development, Vol. 29, No. 2, 2016.
  • Research Paper of Dr. Jasmine Bains (Dept. of Psychology) entitled “Depression: Causes and Treatment” was published in a book titled Combating Depression in 2016.
  • Mrs. Sarbjit Kaur Sidhu (Dept. of Punjabi) attended a Seminar on the Life story of Satguru Ram Singh held at Punjabi Bhawan, Ludhiana on December 30-31, 2016.
  • Many members of our faculty got their research papers published in the biannual refereed journal of literary studies of our college entitled ‘Journal of Literary Aesthetics’, Vol.-1, Issue-1, July, 2016:
    • “Theme of Darkness in Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness” by Mrs. Rajinder Kaur Saggu
    • “Book Analysis” of Dying To Be Me by Dr. Anupam Vatsyayan
    • “The Hairy Ape as a Critique of American Capitalism” by Mrs. Gagneet Pal Kaur
    The Second Issue came in December, 2016 in which papers of the following teachers were published:
    • “View From the Window” (a poem) by Dr Anupam Vatsyayan
    • “Imtiaz Dharker’s “Purdah”: Unveiling Womanhood and Understanding of the Self” by Ms. Archana Srivastava
  • Ms. Daisy Wadhwa (Dept. of Computer Science) presented a research paper on “Restructuring the Indian Education Sector with Open Source Cloud Computing Systems” in 6th International Conference held at NITTTR, Chandigarh on January 08, 2017. The same paper was also published in International Journal of Science, Technology, and Management, Vol. 6, Issue 1, 2017.
  • Mrs. Maninder Kaur (Dept. of Business Management and Commerce) and Ms Daisy Wadhwa (Dept. of Computer Science) attended NAAC-sponsored National Seminar on “Qaulity Assurance in Higher Education: Academic Audit Scheme, Methodolgy, Process and Problems” held at KCW, Sidhwan Khurd on January 18-19, 2017.
  • Mrs. Gagneetpal Kaur from Dept. of English presented a research paper entitled “Post Materialistic Journey of the Diaspora into a Dual Labyrinth of Identity” in an International Conference organized by HMV College, Jalandhar on January 27-28, 2017.
  • Papers were presented by Mrs. Maninder Kaur, Mrs. Manmeet Kaur, Dr. Neetu Prakash, Mrs. Punpreet Kaur, Mrs. Mandeep Gulati, Ms Ritu Priya, and Ms. Lovepreet Dua of Dept. of Business Management and Commerce in National Seminar on the topic “National seminar on “Transforming Traditional Business: Changing Scenario of Corporate Business” organized by Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana on February 18, 2017.
  • Mrs. Seema Dua (Dept. of Economics), Dr. Kuldeep Kaur, Dr. Nidhi, Mrs. Rajwinder, Mrs Jaspreet Lamba, and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur (Dept. of Business Management and Commerce) presented research papers in National Seminar on the theme “Corporate Social Responsibility in Current Economic Scenario” held at Attam Vallabh Jain College, Ludhiana on February 24, 2017.
  • Dr. Nidhi, Mrs. Manpreet Sarna , Mrs Jaspreet Lamba, and Mrs. Gurleen Kaur (Dept. of Business Management and Commerce) presented research papers in UGC-sponsored National Seminar on the theme “Women Sensitization for Promising Solutions – A Strategy for Inclusive Growth” held at S.S.D. Girls College, Bathinda on March 04, 2017.
  • Mrs. Adarsh Kaur (Dept. of History) presented paper entitled “Position of Women in Medieval India: A Social Perspective” in ICSSR sponsored National Seminar on “Foreign Invasion in Punjab and their Impact on Society” held at DD Jain Memorial College for Women, Ludhiana on March 10, 2017.
  • Mrs. Parveen Arora (Dept. of Public Administration) served as a Resource Person in a Workshop on the theme “Training Need Assessment for PRIs-Elected Representatives and Functionaries” held at State Institute of Rural Development, Chandigarh on March 16, 2017.
  • Mrs. Seema Dua (Dept. of Economics), Mrs. Shikha Kalra and Mrs Amarpreet Kaur from Dept. of Home Science presented their papers in International Conference on “Recent Innovations in Engineering, Science, Humanities and Management” held at Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur on March 18-19, 2017. The same papers were also published in International Journal of Science, Technology and Management, Vol.6, Issue 3, March 2017. Ms. Manpreet Kaur (Dept. of English) also presented her paper at the same conference and her paper was published in International Journal of Innovative Research in Science and Engineering, Vol. 3, Issue 3, March, 2017.
  • Ms. Ramapreet Kaur and Ms. Shivani (Dept. of Business Management and Commerce) presented research papers in National Seminar on the topic “Growth of e- Commerce: A Game changer for Indian Economy” held at Guru Nanak National College, Doraha on March 23, 2017.
