Youth Club, Eco Club and Red Ribbon Club

Youth club has been working efficiently under the guidance of Mrs. Parveen Arora (Dept. of Public Administration) and Dr. Nidhi (Dept. of Business Management & Commerce) whereas Eco Club and Red Ribbon Club are smoothly functioning under the supervision of Mrs. Parveen Arora (Dept. of Public Administration). The activities of these clubs during the academic session 2016-17 are as follows:

  • Poster-making Competition on the topic “Say No To Drugs” “was held on August 09, 2016.
  • International Youth Day was celebrated on August 12, 2016. On this occasion, a Cleanliness drive was also organized by NCC cadets, Youth Club members and NSS volunteers, who were accompanied by the staff of Sanitary Department, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. S. Gurcharan Singh, Sanitary Inspector delivered a lecture on cleanliness, and Dr. Charnjit Uppal, Medical Officer of Health and Mr. Jatinder Vij along with his team were also present
  • Sadbhawna Divas was celebrated on August 20, 2016, in which students made posters on various environmental issues.
  • Tree Plantation Drive was conducted by the members of Youth Club in collaboration with the NCC Wing and NSS Unit to mark the Van Mahotsav Day on August 22, 2016. On this occasion Poster Making Competition was also organised by Youth Club on the theme “Save Environment, Save Trees.”
  • Yoga Day was celebrated on August 30, 2016.
  • Slogan Writing Competition, Poster-making competition and Paper Writing competition were held on November 11, 2017 to mark the anniversary of Sardar Patel.
  • Ticket Pasting and Awareness Campaign was held on the theme of “Communal Harmony” on November 23, 2016.
  • Red Ribbon Club observed Swami Vivakanand’s Teaching Day on November 25, 2016.
  • A donation drive, “Share and Care,” was organized to donate various items like clothes, sweaters, shoes, bags, etc. to Neki ki Dukaan, an initiative of Ek Noor Sewa Kendra on February 02, 2017.
  • Women’s Day was celebrated on March 08, 2017 in which Rangoli-making and slogan-writing competitions were organized at Children’s Park, Ludhiana. On this occasion, a lecture was also delivered by ACP, Traffic Police, Ludhiana on “Safety Rules” and “Women’s Rights.”
  • Inter-state Youth Day was celebrated at GNN College, Doraha on March 16, 2017 in which our students participated in various activities like slogan writing, essay writing, and Blood Donation.
