Hindi Sahitya Sabha of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town celebrated “Hindi Diwas” by organizing various competition on virtual media. The competitions included Calligraphy, Slogan Writing and Poem Recitation. Calligraphy competition was based on extracts from Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Baani. Gurpreet Kaur (BA I) won first prize in Calligraphy while Pushpa (BA III) secured first position in Slogan writing competition. Jasmeen Bano of BA-III stood first in Poem Recitation.
The General Secretary of College Governing Body, Er. Gurvinder Singh congratulated the students for their efforts and stressed upon the need to give respect to every language as it connects people on various platforms. On the occasion, Principal Maninder Kaur underlined the relevance of such shows which bring out the hidden talent among the students and they feel motivated to showcase their creativity.
